Whatsapp New Privacy Policy is in constant circle of questions. Now the Supreme Court has also issued a notice to WhatsApp and Facebook (Facebook) about the new security policy, expressing concern about the privacy of users.

The new privacy policy of Facebook authorized messaging app WhatsApp is constantly under question. After all the objections, the company has postponed it for the next three months, meanwhile, the Supreme Court has issued notices to Facebook and WhatsApp.

What about user privacy?

Chief Justice of India (CJI), while noting Facebook (Facebook) and WhatsApp about the new privacy policy, said that it is very important to keep the privacy of the user safe. In response to the Supreme Court notice, Facebook and WhatsApp have to clarify what kind of data is being shared by the users and what type of data is not being shared.

The Chief Justice of India, in a stern comment, told WhatsApp, Facebook management, ‘You (WhatsApp, Facebook) will be a 2-3 trillion dollar company, but people’s privacy is more valuable than that. It is our duty to protect it. On this, WhatsApp told the Supreme Court, Europe has a special law on privacy, if there is a similar law in India, we will follow it. The next hearing of the case will be after 4 weeks.

Users are constantly shifting to another messaging app

Let us know, the new privacy policy of WhatsApp was announced on 5 January. WhatsApp users are very angry since then. Since the announcement of WhatsApp’s new privacy policy, a large number of people are moving messaging apps like Signal and Telegram. Also, a petition has been filed against WhatsApp in the court. WhatsApp is being accused of violating the right to privacy of Indian citizens over the new privacy policy. In such a situation, Whatsapp New Privacy Policy has been postponed till 15 May 2021.
