CM Yogi Adityanath had already hinted at making laws on matters related to Love Jihad. On October 31, he said that the Allahabad High Court has given an order that conversion to marriage is not necessary, so the government has also decided that Love Jihad will be strictly prevented. We will make effective laws for this.

This new Act will provide for a punishment of up to five years for forceful conversion.

This bill will come in the name of Madhya Pradesh Religious Freedom Bill-2020.
